Beauty Products – June / July FAVOURITES

July 20, 2017

So I’d like to start off this post with a little apology for being so rubbish with blogging as of late. If you follow me on Instagram, you will probably have seen that A LOT has been going on. It’s been crazy to say the least! But with all that excitement put to one side, I’m ready to get back into blogging, and I thought i’d kick things off by sharing with you some beauty products that I currently am LOVING.

(If you would like to read about what i’ve been getting up to, please feel free to check out my other new post – http://sarahjanecryer.com/2017/07/20/we-have-an-announcements/

Number 1 – By Terry ‘Cellularose Brightening CC Lumi-Serum | Sunny Flash’

I’ve never purchased a By Terry product before (mainly because of the hefty price tag), but I’ve seen this Lumi-Serum crop up on numerous beauty/ makeup posts, and being a self confessed highlighter addict – I decided to give it a go. I can honestly say that I can now see what all the hype is about. Unlike other liquid highlighters I’ve used, this one actually nourishes and cares for your skin at the same time as adding that golden glow we all look for in a highlighter. It’s ingredients correct uneven tone, such as neutralising redness and covering dark spots – while white rose native cells along with gentle exfoliating agents help to reduce pigmentation and prevent the development of future skin imperfections. I use this before I put my foundation on, and would happily wear it on its own when I go on holiday in a few weeks time. The only down side to this product is that it’s certainly not cheap, however it’s a big bottle and you honestly don’t need to use massive amounts at a time – a little goes a long way!

Number 2 – Loreal ‘Age Perfect Eye-Cream’

I’m slightly obsessed with moisturisers/ eye creams ATM. I have really sensitive skin on my face, so more often than not I buy creams and they make my face burn, itch and even cause break outs. So when I bought this eye cream I wasn’t really expecting much, especially as it was quite inexpensive (I can’t remember the exact price, but around the £7 mark). Baring in mind I’ve splurged on high-end products in the past thinking that because you have to remortgage your house to get them that they will SURELY be super duper amazing? I can tell you from experience that this is not the case. I feel like since I’ve been using this product, the skin around my eyes has become less lined? Maybe because it’s being moisturised in a way that suits my skin it’s just reducing the appearance of any lines, but whatever it is doing I’m liking it!

Number 3 – Garnier ‘Micellar Cleansing Water’

As I’ve already mentioned, I have very sensitive skin on my face, which doesn’t only make it hard for me to find moisturisers/ creams, but it’s also a nightmare trying to find makeup removers, toners and cleansers. I’d seen a lot of reviews of this product saying that it’s great for sensitive skin etc, and when I saw the price tag (£3!!!!!) I just had to try it. So there are 3 types – there’s the pink bottle which is specifically for sensitive skin, then there’s the green bottle which is for oily/combination skin, and there’s a yellow bottle which is for dry and sensitive skin. I have combination skin which means my cheeks tend to be dry but my forehead/nose area is slightly more oily, and I find the pink bottle perfect – It doesn’t dry my skin out at all, nor does it make me feel greasy in any way. For £3 you cannot go wrong. Did I mention that this bottle is the size of a small child? Winning!

Number 4 – KMS ‘Volume Spray’

I got given this, along with some other KMS products, at an event back in March. I’m quite boring when it comes to my hair, as in I just blow dry, whack the straighteners on it, and hope for the best. I’ve had products put on my hair in the past and I’ve always hated the result – having quite fine hair, I’ve found that adding “stuff” to it just makes it even more flat and limp, so I basically just don’t buy it. As this was a free-be, I thought i’d give it a go out of curiosity. Well, well, well, what a little gem it turned out to be. A few squirts of this rubbed into your roots on wet or towel dried hair, will leave you feeling like you’re a hair goddess! Honestly, it’s amazing – I blow dry my hair after I’ve rubbed this into it and it’s got so much more height and volume to it. Highly recommend for us girls/ guys with limp hair.
